Sint Eustatius – State Secretary of Culture and Media Günay Uslu and her delegation of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science arrived at F. D. Roosevelt Airport this morning. She was welcomed by Deputy Government Commissioner Claudia Toet and Island Commissioner Derrick Simmons.
The State Secretary’s visit focusses on cultural cooperation, libraries and heritage. The history of slavery is also an important topic for discussion. The State Secretary will follow a full programme in which she will get further acquainted with the rich history, culture and people of Statia.
